Why is this random language generated? Because I can, that's why. But on the serious note, why should you care about it? Well, maybe you are interested in learning a language and which one is likely to be spoken by most people around the world.

Or, maybe you are looking for a job and want to know your prospects of finding a job in a specific language.

Or you like traveling, but don't know which are your preferred destinations, and you would like to find notable quotes from some of these languages.

Most Spoken Languages in the World

There are more than 6,500 languages spoken in the world today. Linguistic scholars estimate there are between 8,000 and 13,000 distinct languages spoken, with half of those existing only as oral languages with no official written form.

Only a handful of these languages have more than a million native speakers; English is by far the most common spoken language in the world, with 1.5 billion native speakers (see "Most Spoken Languages").

There are about 775 million Spanish speakers and 475 million Hindi speakers in the world as well.

1. Chinese: Plus A Billion

Chinese Language

Chinese is the most spoken language in the world, but many people aren’t aware of that. Depending on the estimates you look at there are about 1.2 billion native Chinese speakers and 1 billion Chinese speakers worldwide.

There are numerous tones in the language which can make it seem even more difficult to learn. But like every language out there, once you learn its basics, it becomes much easier to speak and understand.

2. Spanish as a Language

Spanich Language

Hola mundo. Do you speak Spanish? Or at least like to think you do? The language spoken by over 400 million people is an important one, and it seems that it more than ever before that knowledge of the tongue of Cervantes and Goya is becoming a must -have for businesses looking to expand into new markets.

3. English: The Language of Science

The English language is probably the most important in the world. It is considered as one of the hardest languages to learn for many reasons, since there are over 400 words for snow according to Wikipedia

The number of meanings for a single word can also be countless, which leaves for a lot of room to interpret their meaning equally in English.

The reason you should definitely learn it, even though it’s very complicated and difficult, is that by knowing this language you will be able to communicate better with other people, regardless of where you live.

4. Hindi: 341 Million Speakers

Hindi Language

Hindi is the predominant language of the Indian subcontinent. It is one of the official languages of India and the most widely spoken language in all of India. There are so many people in India to learn this language, and when you are speaking with other Hindi speakers, they will understand you easily. But this language is not only used for talk, but there are also writing systems for this language too.

5. Arabic Language

It is said that Arabic is a language of poetry, and that its use is not confined to the Arab World. With more than 400 million native speakers, it is certainly the most widely spoken Semitic language in the world.

Its use has also spread to many non-Arab countries and speaking communities with large numbers of speakers, such as in Algeria, Bahrain, Chad, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Yemen, Iran, Israel, Kazakhstan (as a minority language), Kuwait, Mauritania, Morocco (in parts), Oman (in parts), and the list goes on.

How Random Language Generator Works

Every time you use language to communicate, you use a language which has been created by certain people.

This is a fact. You could say language is not really that random. However, I’m pretty sure that the human race has never developed anything as random as my Random Language Generator.
