Ring of Miserly Protection Info Card

The Ring of Miserly Protection is an equipable ring that can be found in the game Enter the Gungeon. It will always drop inside the Bosses room.

When picked up, it grants Grace Shield for 10 seconds, which completely blocks all damage while triggering a host of additional effects.

It costs 300000 Ammo, but cannot be bought. It grants the player one extra heart container, greatly increasing the number of hearts players can have at once.

This ring gives the player a 40% discount on everything they buy from shopkeepers, for as long as they're wearing the ring.

It will always drop inside the Bosses room. When picked up, it grants Grace Shield for 10 seconds, which completely blocks all damage while triggering a host of additional effects.

It has the second highest defense in the game, after the Ring of Due Process, at a defense multiplier of 840%. It also grants its wearer immunity to every form of damage except spikes and lava, meaning that they will never lose any health to environmental hazards or enemy attacks.

The Ring of Miserly Protection will prevent The Bullet That Can Kill The Past from dropping when it is killed, making it the only other item in the game besides Drill Claw that can do this other than dummy items.

Result

The item makes it so that you gain two hearts instead of one at a time. However, this comes at a cost.

It disappears after spending any coins anywhere in the Shop. This means that you can never purchase anything from shops with this item equipped. The shopkeeper will not even take off the item for you.

It disappears upon purchase, but still works as long as it's not purchased.

Facts

The ring may also be used as a very effective distraction as as both players will have infinite ammo as long as they aren't wearing the ring.

In addition, any item sold counts as a buy which means it can also be used to help extend co-op's "never alone" effect.

This is the item that makes me feel less guilty about my co-op partners being able to buy stuff. I know they're paying for all the guns, ammo, hearts, bombs, keys, hidden rooms and bosses i now have access too. And it's not just me.

All players wearing the ring will benefit from this effect regardless of who's buying. You have obviously have done things right with this ring.
