He's a man just like you and me, who happens to go around fighting evil demons in his spare time. His broadsword can cut through almost anything, and his superhuman strength makes him a tough opponent for anyone-living or dead.

What horrors does he face in the depths of Hell? Find out in this blood-soaked chapter of the Helltaker saga!

Helltakers are very long and slender with long, sharp claws on their hands and feet. They possess a singular horn from the top of their head, which can sometimes resemble an additional joint.

They also have three shark-like fins connected to their spine that starts over their shoulders, spreading out just above the knees, and ending right below the thighs, which are used for motion in swimming.

He was created by a magic power, when an ancient artifact was unearthed by an excavation team near the ruins of the Shang Dynasty's city of Yin and the Bamboo Forest of Lushan.

He is the leader of the Seven Masters serving the God King Han, who bestowed on him the title "Helltaker". They possess a singular horn from the top of their head, which can sometimes resemble an additional joint.

They also have three shark-like fins connected to their spine that starts over their shoulders, spreading out just above the knees, and ending right below the thighs, which are used for motion in swimming.

Look

The Helltaker is a large, muscular man, who walks in one of the few paths available to him on a strange planet. In a desperate attempt to escape his fate and venture into the unknown, he conjures a plan to make it through hell.

Wearing a red dress shirt and white high-waist shorts along with black sunglasses, he heads out on this adventure. His exact motives are unknown, though it seems that he wants to stop Satan from eating all of the pancakes in hell.

He is a powerful warrior who is not above using clever plans rather than brute strength to get the job done. His favorite food is chocolate pancakes, and his favorite turn based strategy games are Fire Emblem and Advance Wars. His special abilities are "Rise from Hell" and "Satan's Cooking."

The player controls The Helltaker, a supernatural cook who fights his way out of hell. As he does so, he hands out "heavenly pancakes" to any demons who aren't working up the courage to fight him. Miraculously, these pancakes make the demons stronger, at which point they begin fighting with The Helltaker.

Once upon a time, there lived a man named Samuel J. Helltaker, a devious fellow who got his kicks by playing strategy games.

This sadistic devil's advocate loved to tease lovers of board and card games by always losing on purpose. One day, he discovered the secret to winning ― it was all about luck, and not actual skill.

He stayed up all night until finally he came up with a winning strategy ― whenever he lost on purpose, he would throw the game pieces through the window.

As the story goes, the one and only Mrs. Hellmaker had all of the demons in hell killed by a demon-hunter simply known as William Wirtz. The souls of all of these vanquished creatures were forced to wander the earth, until they went back to hell and killed Satan, so he could be their leader.

He then made a deal with one of these demons to give him his freedom if he helped him fight William Wirtz.

The demon agreed, and they went down into hell's kitchen to make some brew. They began working furiously on creating the perfect brew, until they came across the perfect recipe: Chocolate pancakes with chocolate syrup on the side.

They quietly snuck out of the servants' quarters during a late night and gathered all of Satan's ingredients for the delicious dish.

At first, Satan was furious about being woken up so early for some pancakes, but when he saw that his faithful servant had created an amazingly delicious dish, he couldn't help but smile in glee at this delicious treat.

Tale

The game is also enjoyed for its unusual detailed localisation and humorous script. The Helltaker's events take place in the town of Helheim, lead by mayor Von Helheim, and his assistant, Half-track Jack.

The game takes place after the mayor successfully opened up a portal to Hell, letting demons into his town.

He decided to use this opportunity to build a demon harem.

There is a complex background story in place. However it bears no particular relevance to any game play elements.

The game focuses on the dialogue between characters (primarily between The Helltaker and his demon harem) and player interaction, through choices that are made throughout the game.

The Helltaker is a roguelike game in which the player takes control of the eponymous character, who awakens in an unknown location and time as an immortal agent of chaos. The objective of the game is to create a harem full of demon girls by defeating various monsters and bosses in a randomized, albeit finite, procedurally generated dungeon.

The Helltaker is unique among roguelikes in that the main character has no agency, and must live out his eternal existence as per his programming and the wishes of his dutiful, but mischievous imp.
