Elder Blank is an active item, bestowing The Blank Card status on the player. This card modifies not just the Bullet Devils' behavior (scrambling their patterns and impairing their judgement), but some of the game's mechanics as well, like making items appear on pedestals or increasing enemy speed.

It is an incredibly useful item in some situations, while some others leave it completely unused.

Elder Blank, an item introduced in Enter the Gungeon's Advanced Gungeons & Draguns update, is one of the most useful items in the game.

It is almost completely centred around its Blank Card status effect, which scrambles enemy patterns and decreases their judgement.

Although this item can be obtained through beating Pre-Advanced Gungeons & Draguns runs, getting the real deal will net you a plethora of benefits.

Elder Blank is an item found in the Gungeon. It can be found in locked chests, dropped by Mimics, and as a rare drop from Bullet Devils. When activated, the card modifies their behavior and lowers their health.

It can also increase pedestal item quantity and change enemy stats such as speed and knockback.

To access The Breach, one must travel to the foot of the Ramparts and descend into the depths below.

It is found as an active item after traversing through a multitude of rooms that all sport various enemies, each more difficult than those before them.

This effectively negates their projectiles while keeping the visual effects intact.

Old Red is a special character. Elder Blank can cause 35 shots to be fired instantly, but after that the shots fire at their regular rate.

If the player has Blank Companion's Ring equipped , instead of firing 2 blanks, it will fire a Red and a Blue blank in quick succession.

This only applies when the effect is active and firing blanks will return to normal after it ends.

The special effect makes you move much slower than usual. Before the effect ends you have a well liked companion by your side, or well liked being a relative term to whichever skull you have in your inventory.

While this is happening your companion is no longer firing their weapon, but soon after they begin to auto fire their weapon again.

Your guardian skull has become a tiny version of the Red Guardian Skull who shot the blank at you, and he fires another blank.

Because only one instance of the blank can damage enemies, both will fire towards the same enemy if there is one, or travel in opposite directions if there isn't one.

If there are many enemies in range, both will fire at different ones at random. The second blank does not consume bullets.
