Have you ever played on a server and wanted more cash? If you're hoping to get a lot of money, look no further. Brick of Cash is a passive item that gives you the amount of money that matches your character level.

Maybe you're wanting cash to buy an item from someone.

Brick of Cash is given to the player by Mr. Small after The Bullet That Can Kill The Past is completed. It can be found in the Item Shop for $600,000 (it is sold by the same merchant that sells "The Bullet That Can Kill The Past" quest).

Unlike most items, the brick of cash cannot be directly picked up. Instead, it appears at the end of each of the first four shops in the game.

Each shop has one brick of cash hidden in it (a fifth shop with no reward will appear after defeating The Bullet).

If any enemy picks up a brick of cash, they will drop it and start running around erratically, dropping their loot on the ground; if Isaac picks up a brick of cash, he will get +$500 per level.

It lowers the pickup range, allowing you to pick up more loot, making it easier to find money pickups and giving you an incentive to grab them.

By lowering the radius of money pickups and keys, and increasing your pickup speed, you become a lot less likely to miss anything.

Sometimes I'll stand still just to grab all the money over me that I couldn't reach before.

And this item is quite different from other passive items because it doesn't add any stats for The Merchant when you sell it.

Hidden rooms can be frustrating, but they can also help you find secrets and cool items.

Your best bet is to learn the map and memorize where they’ll be.

But, if you want an easy way to find them, try this item! The Brick of Cash reveals hidden rooms when you holster it.

This allows players who aren’t too good at memorization to see which walls have secret rooms behind them.

You must kill a large number of enemies in the room and then quickly navigate into the area where the large brick will drop.

The moment you destroy this brick, a secret escape door will open.

This will allow you to progress through the level and explore new areas.

These late game areas house incredibly valuable items for your hero, and can be missed if you’re not looking for them.

This is an ITEM-POINTER ITEM, allowing it to find secret rooms that other items might miss. You probably used this item on every wall that looks like it has a secret entrance, but not all bricks point toward secrets.

This brick will point at secret entrances, even ones that aren't obvious!

Brick of Cash 101

The Brick of Cash item in Enter the Gungeon is a reference to Rap group Wu-Tang Clan's 1995 hit "C.R.E.A.M". In the song, Wu-Tang proclaims "Cash Rules Everything Around Me" meaning that money has a heavy influence on our lives and culture, and this extends to The Binding of Isaac series as well given its "hellish" themes.

The Brick of Cash uses explosive ammunition which explodes upon contact with enemies or walls.

In Enter the Gungeon, a financially rewarding secret is the Brick of Cash item.

When the player uses any gun, they occasionally fire money instead of bullets.

The money charms enemies to drop more gold upon being killed.

A player can get a maximum of 255 gold from one enemy charm, which can be combined with either Double Cash or Coin Magazines to create a Platinum Charm that yields a number times that of normal drops.
